The only gay and lesbian bowling league in the Greater Cincinnati area will be starting its summer season beginning on Friday, May 18, 2001. The Champagne Memorial Summer League will start at 7:30 PM and should end by 10:00 PM, just in time to enjoy your favorite nightspot. The season will be a short 10 weeks with NO bowling on Friday night, May 25, 2001 so that all can enjoy the Memorial Day holiday weekend.
Teams will consist of four persons who can be either: male/female, straight/gay, black/white, in any combination. ALL are welcome to participate in this noncompetitive sport where talent and skill are not required. The only requirement is that you want to have a gay ole time.
The League will bowl at AMF King Pin Lanes, 7735 Beechmont Avenue, phone number (513) 231-8010. This is where the fall/winter 2000/2001 league just completed a very successful season with 17 teams. Two of these teams were composed of all women. AND, an all women’s team took first place. How about that, you guys?
